Masterclasses

MTAC Bay Area Collaborative Masterclass 2026

The whole day piano teaching marathon is designed to present MTAC members living in the Bay Area and to give them an opportunity to share their great discoveries in the field of piano pedagogy and piano performance with colleagues and the public. Teachers could speak on the topic they choose or/and work with registered intermediate and advanced students in an open masterclass format. Also, they could use the time to introduce their new research project and recent publications.

This year, piano professionals from MTAC SF branch will be teaching at the Steinway Piano Gallery in San Francisco on one of the fantastic Steinway & Sons grand pianos. This collaborative event is a conversation between MTAC branch members connected by one of the greatest piano companies of our times. MTAC SF is excited to initialize this educational dialog and to create another opportunity for music teachers to get together!

This event is free to attend for all, but online registration for both active participants (students) and listeners is required.

Students may choose any teacher they would like to have a masterclass with from the list of participating teachers (maximum 2 slots). Registration is first come, first served.

Masterclass registration period for students: 12.01.2025-12.31.2025. Minor students must be accompanied by a parent on the day of the event. All students are welcome to attend all presentations as listeners!
