PERFORMANCE POINTS PROGRAM

The Performance Points Program is designed to encourage students to participate in MTAC programs and events, and to foster and develop students’ performance experience and development.

Points are collected over the course of each academic year and tallied by each MTAC-SF teacher on behalf of their students. Qualifying students’ names & details are to be submitted online via the Teacher Worksheet by the deadline below for inclusion in the Branch Honors Recital each spring and will receive a trophy award. Students must have at least 10 performance points to qualify.

Performance Points System

  • Certificate of Merit Evaluation Results: 

    • Technique Excellent = 3 points

    • Sight Reading Excellent = 3 points

    • Sight Reading Good = 1 points

    • Repertoire Excellent = 3 points

    • Theory 90% or above = 2 points

  • Certificate of Merit State Honors = 3 points

  • Convention Rating 5+ = 3 points

  • CM Panel Proceed to Finals = 5 points

  • CM YAG Proceed to Finals = 5 points

  • Branch Recital participation (per recital) = 2 points 

  • Masterclass participant = 3 points

  • Festival participant = 3 points
